Ruby, Ruby, Ruby!

Capturing a subject’s personality, whether human or animal, is always the true challenge of portraiture. It may sound simple, but it’s absolutely essential to get right. When it comes to our canine companions, it’s often in the eyes, the tilt of the head, or the subtle way their ears are positioned that their character really shines through. Ultimately, it’s the owners who can best judge whether the portrait is a true reflection. That said, having met the lovely Ruby on several occasions certainly helped, she’s an absolute gem of a dog!
